Not sure.... Some type of haas I think. I got it from my neighbor in the fall. I will graft a scion from the neighbors tree on the this one. Not sure if avocados are true to seed. How's your infamous trailer park avocado?

Did you rent a sod cutter to get rid of all that sod? I have 6 bananas right now and 3 are actively growing pups still smallish and the rest are close. I want to plant bananas in rows throughout my yard and in the back etc but right now it’s all covered in sod.

My BIL in West Palm has an avocado tree that makes huge, tasty fruit. Like an Ice Cream avocado. He calls it a Marcus Pumkin. I’ve eaten it and it tastes incredible. I read on a thread from somebody in SF that MP’s don’t taste very good but that has not been my experience.

The Trailer Park is a spotty producer...awesome that you recall the tree...my former famous gardening friend that helped me dig it up recently passed away..

https://www.tampabay.com/news/tampa/...pa-house-fire/

Check out this video I made of Avocados from across the street!!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQhlkHJ-azs

We do have 12 other avocado trees that are mostly doing better...we might get more fruit production if we irrigated and used commercial fertilizer...but we are strictly organic..

Where’d the rain go? March was as dry as it’s ever been in Tampa Bay.
The bay area recorded virtually no rain in March, tying records set in 1907 and 2006. But an incoming cold front should bring needed rain.

https://www.tampabay.com/weather/202...three%20inches.

The average Tampa rainfall in March is historically just above three inches. This year, however, the rain gauge at Tampa International Airport did not record any measurable rain since the end of February, making this March just the third on record without at least 0.01 inches of rain.

The only other years where there was no measurable rainfall: March 1907 and March 2006.

We also grow:

Doni
Simmonds
Russell (2)
Brogdon
Day
Miguel
Choquette
Lula
Monroe

Hot Tub

Homestead Seedlings:
Sawyer (son)
Trailer Park
Lucy (daughter)

Awesome job keeping the forum hopping Backyard Banana Joe!
