![]() Hey guys. I've got a problem with my banana plant which I've got only in seeds now. So that's my story. I have bought banana seeds on https://gardenseedsmarket.com/unusual-plants-en/ but I can't find it anymore on this site. And thus, I don't know how to take care of it. There are some more and less demanding plants but I'd like to grow my banana as good as possible and provide him best conditions. So my questions is: will it be okay if I put it into a seed starter and leave there until it sprouts, them put it into a small pot with permable soil? And please, give me recipes for the best soils for bananas.

eg musa aeae. a banana everyone wants as its just (words can't describe its unreal aesthetics). on ETSY people sell these seeds but most (AGM) don't produce viable seeds. like in out Cavendish supermarket banana. in the UK they sell them in tescos or US equivalent walmart or m&s for the posher people. they are small and people normally eat them. so firstly, WATCH OUT. LOTS OF SCAMS ARE ABOUT. THE SEEDS MAY NOT DO ANYTHING. I've learned first hand. now, saying this species like musa basjoo or musa red tiger do produce seeds that are viable and germinate. I've actually germinated some myself. they are super easy. you can soak them in water for 24-48 hours but u don't have to. i used a fluffy mix of coir perlite orchid bark peat moss compost this created a good mix. i shoved the seeds in half way and watered (don't put too much water in or they can root) make it moist but not waterlogged. leave seeds on a heat matt and then wait 2-3 weeks and hopefully u will see some activity. it worked for me but remember seeds can take years to germinate so don't give up. but also check the internet to see if its a scam. so u don't waste money. but good luck. once they grow identifying them will be easier. hope this help s |
