![]() So I bought a bunch of banana plants from a fellow banana.org user and was told they are cavendish but not sure which strain. I will upload pics in the am but here are the clues I have: purple spotting (cavendish) and the pups have pups like no tomorrow some 8" pots have 11 pups and the mother plant is not even 10" tall.
So I'm thinking whichever cavendish pups like crazy must be the variety I have. Any thought, I have 7 pots of these?

![]() I am no expert, but sounds like a super dwarf. Maybe super dwarf Cavadinsh, or Truley Tiny. Best guess without picts. Good luck!

![]() I have a question about this post.
Shouldn't the pups be removed? |

![]() They are double that size now. I'll get a pick tomorrow.
As for the pups, depends on who you ask but from what I gather if your going for fruit then keep 2 pups so momma keeps her energy for that. I don't think there is harm in having many pups though, maybe someone can correct me on that?

![]() At some point your benefactor should have a flower on his and perhaps then the mystery will be solved. The only major pupper I have is a DC; the rest are content to send out no more than 4.
