Default Utah Member Intro

I am so happy I found Bananas.org and the community! Love it. And I love BANANAS. I have been a citrus grower with different cultivars but over the last 3 years I have found bananas. I grew 5 Bananas from seed and gave all but 1 away to friends. My plant is doing very well at 6 feet tall now. I recently bought a Basjoo and Velutina. I believe my Velutina has put out a flag leaf and I have a flower popping up. I will attach a few pictures here.

I have all these plants in my home office. We are very dry in Utah so I put a warm humidifier in the office to keep the humidity close to 50%-60%. Normally inside the house it is about 20% humidity.

I am having issues with spider mites. Agh!! I hate those little guys. It's a lot of work to constantly battle the arthropods. Never ending right?

Thank you to all you are on here because I read and learn and study and gain a lot from all you post! Love it!
Chris
