Default New banana owner in Redondo Beach CA

Hi, Im new here, googled bananas and here I am. I live in Redondo Beach which is in Southern California, near the beach. I just bought a house in March of this year. According to my neighbor the previous owners had planted a banana tree about 6 years ago but it never fruited while they lived here. Well now I have bananas, the "flower" came out around 2 weeks ago I think, although Im not exactly sure as I didnt know what it was the first time I saw it, but about 10 days ago is when I took the first pic of the bananas. Not sure weather to post all the pics here or in the regular part of the forum, but I will post the first one and the last one I took. I was excited to see them and took daily photos for a few days, but Im not really sure they are progressing at the right stage or even if they are doing that well. The first few bunches to appear seemed ok, but they seem to be getting smaller and smaller as the petals drop off. The last bunch to appear are teeny, only about an inch long. I dont have a pic of them yet.
