I need help with my Banana
I ordered a dormant banana plant, 2 gallon from eBay and the one new leaf pooped out but no new leafs that I can see. I notices that the outside casing on the approximate 2 1/2 stock down close to the root ball was turning black and the outer layers were not drying and sluffing off. I felt the need to pull it back and it seems that I should keep peeling those layers back but I just don’t know what to do! I’m also feeling that it is staying too wet in the soil and today and tomorrow in Oregon we have temperatures at 100. Is there anyone that could direct me asap on how to save my Musa Basjoo Banana tree
I need a banana Dr. |

Your pics need to be 2MB or smaller to load in the gallery.

Hi Rhandy-
Welcome aboard the Banana Express. ![]() It seems confusing at first, but it's just a bit weird is all. Post a reply and scroll down. You see some instructions for uploading pics. You will have to confirm the upload TWICE to get them into the gallery. Then, click on the pic you want to add and C&P the FIRST set of HTML code into the post. It's weird as hell, but pretty simple once you do it. If you're still having problems, PM me on here, and you can email them to me and I'll get them posted for you. It's important to visually understand what is going on here. I would venture a guess, however, that they got too wet or too cold. If they were shipped via air and not marked as "PLANTS DO NOT FREEZE" on the box, they could hit temps as cold as -20F in the cargo hold.
