Its around 17 feet from the ground to the base of the flower. Trunk is massive. Pups are massive.

I'm going to get my 10 foot ladder out tomorrow and get as close as possible for updated pics. The flower is HUGE.

Thank you mushtaq86! Yes, a giant and I've noticed some interesting red (or wine color) features that I will try to get pics of tomorrow and post!

I just got a Kandarian and looking forward to seeing it grow and fruit. Is it supposed to be a cooking banana or to eat raw or both?

leobus has one flowerin just south of you in merritt island on the road to cape canveral and its huge. I have had one for 3 summers the cold hurts it but the mother hasn't died yet, pretty cold hardy, but my winters keep knocking it back.

I just got my pup from Leo - he's only about 20 miles south of me. Didn't see his Kandarian flowering and I think he said it hasn't flowered yet. In any case, I was curious if it was more of a raw eating or cooking type. There's not a lot of info on Kandarian, mostly just the same stuff regurgitated on every site. Leo's plant looked awesome, such a strong grower and the pics here also look super-impressive. Already got a spot picked out. Will have to post some pics of my property in about a year or so.
