Just moved to just outside Tampa from the north and am brand new to the idea of bananas. Can't wait. Any tips on where to start would be greatly appreciated.

A couple of other Florida growers have posted lots of photos of various bananas in the past so you might want to view their posts and galleries to get an idea of what you'd like to grow.

I think if you stick to cold tolerant bananas you will be in great shape . Im down in South Fla and I can get away with growing anything I want to, we seldom freeze and if we do its a few hours . My brother is close to Tampa and he emails me every day it freezes.. That would be being completely on the safe side of things .. Now is a great time to plant :)
