Greetings from South Florida,

Been here a bit, but thought I should get around to an introduction. So here goes!

I have been growing bananas at home for a little over a year, I'd gather now.

Currently, I have SH 3640 (fruiting,) Blue Java, FHIA 17, and Plantano Rojo growing nicely (verdict still out on FHIA 17 and Blue Java fruit.) I also have a Grand Nain which didn't initially grow well, but still am hoping it will grow on its own time. I lost a Tall Brazilian at the start, and haven't replaced it as-of-yet-but maybe I will one day. I also would like to put in some good red bananas, and a other tasty varieties. We'll have to see what the future holds.

As far as other plants I am growing: various tropical fruit, hot/bell peppers, and other vegetables/fruit.

Happy growing!

Welcome aboard! Good to see some more zone 10ers here.
We are in Lake Worth, FL. I just put in our first 'naners this year.
Some Gran Nain (doing well), Williams, "Apple", and basic commercial Plantano.
Nothing so exotic as what you have.
We also put in Green Fiji (Dwarf) Palm, Red Lime, Cogshall (Dwarf) Mango, Honeybell orange, Pineapple, and Muscadine grapes.
Strawberries are coming soon.
Sounds like you do some vegy gardening too. Here's a slideshow of our garden so far. Gotta love S. Florida!! :08:
