Backyard Banana Joe

We're you totally ripping out the whole stand? Or just taking out the old corm? If it's old corm, how would there be leaves and trunk to cut off?

What variety?

I have never heard of anyone doing that. Is the old come diseased?



When I ripped out the unknown banana plant, in the post Apple or Icecream, I left the leafless, rootless corn sitting on top of some weedy ground. It grew some roots and started growing an eye. So I guess you should havethrow it away, or if you happened to have a lot of land, you could bury the forms in a far away corner and not go there for a year and a half, and then go one day and find a bunch of bananas there.
