You might be a banana fiend if you play the Jimmy Buffet "Banana Wind" CD on a continuous loop in the greenhouse "for the plants" and you swear it makes them grow faster...

You might be a banana fiend... 117...If you wake up 2 hours before your wife and when she wakes up and asks if you made coffee, you realize you've been reading old posts on Bananas.org for the last 2 hours trying to find info on how hardy your plants are and which ones can actually stay in the ground...again... 118...If you've already got plans for 'which bananas will go where' when next spring arrives and are prepping their spots now, 6 months in advance... 119...If you cut your 15ft. tall lemon tree down to 6 ft. because it was shading one of your newly planted pups at midday... 120...If you constantly lose cups full of coffee and glasses full of beer out in your yard because you put them down to do something with your bananas and forget them... 121...If your wife says she is buying a pair of pants and 2 blouses because you just bought a 'big box of plants' from Rmplmnz and you think that it's fair... 122...If you see the smallest yellowing spot on a leaf and think you have every banana disease possible... 123...If you polish the wax on your P-stems... 124...If your spouse is looking for you, they know to just go out to the bananas... 125...If you ask everyone you know if they're growing bananas and beg them for pups. 126...If you become depressed when you run out of pups to trade for new varieties that you don't have... 127...If you see bananas in someone's yard, trying to come up with the courage to introduce yourself just to ask them for a pup... 128...If this all started with your wife's suggestion to just get 1 banana 'cause she liked the way it looked...and now you have 22 different varieties with more on the way... 129...If you started out wanting only dessert bananas, but now will grow any banana for it's genetic diversity and 'cause it looks 'different' from all the rest... By the way, I manicure and polish my P-stems, check my bananas 3-5 times a day for new pups/problems, and if my wife is looking for me, she knows I'll be out back with my bananas. I used to carry the shovel and bags (to collect other plants before the banana bug bit) when I was trucking, but ride my bike most days so no room now. |

# 128 is true here...........started with 1 that has 3 pups, ordered 5 seedlings, given 135 seeds by member, ordered 100 more seeds from another member and now trying 2 pineapple crowns coz of posts on here, plus caster beans:woohoonaner: :raftingnaner: :0519:

Your reply is I will start putting some on top of the roof and also build a deck over the driveway for more room. #29. When a guy at work is named Musa from Egypt (I have a coworker by this name) and you think about your banana plants at home all alone. #30. You start naming all your pets after a favorite variety. |

Sorry guys I was carried away from the first page of posts so to correct the thread, the numbers should be #129, 130, 131 & 132. Here is #133 (true by the way) You have a friend in Missouri that remodeled his house (living room) for a banana tree to overwinter. His boss owns the house and he can do anything he wants. #134 You love plants more than your spouse but you know that he likes banana's. People from the midwest like to grow plants that give back fruit, vegetable etc. So now you show them how zone 10 is a bonus and give them an Ae Ae for their birthday.
