:hiiiiyanana: I have become a banana fiend since last week of july 2007! I saw them and went right to the nursery and bought 3. The next week i bought 2 more. Jurassic Daryl gave me 9 dwarf cavendish!!!! they are 5&6 ft tall,some with pups! I baby these nanners like babies. theyre misted 2or3x a day, checked on repeatedly and i kiss them!!!!:waving: Ive never felt compelled to kiss a plant before my nannas!!!!!:simpatica I keep a humidifier running for the ones in the basement and the ones upstairs. My basjoo baby outside has been wrapped up for the winter. Iam watching for my nanna seeds to grow {thanks Randy}. Iam going to Indiana this sunday to get goat fertilizer for my compost pile for my honeys. I can't stay off the banana sites.!!!!!! All this started last week July 2007. I go to sleep, not by the t.v. anymore..............I just think BANANASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!:bed: Magicgreen

ok. i thought i was bad...but some of yall got me beat. i get up at 630am, look at my nanas till 1030-1100am. and the coffee thing,well i dont have a spouse to bring me a cup, it usually burns in the pot.then i leave for school.come home put out the dogs.look at my bananas. check under leaves, need water? need food. hang out on banana sites. i leave the radio on also,they like music.(and yes it is 80's hair bands 105.5 the rock dog, i was a teen in the 80's) sorry momentary lapse. read what i can about nanas,(bromiliads, got a new friend on another site who suggest getting at least one bromeliad.) while im at school talk about nana trees to everybody. yes they think im nanas. make sure the temp. in the room is rite, fill up the humidifier 2 times a day. go buy fresh shredded cabbage everyother week. thinking about getting another grow lite..need another humidifier? how many nanas can i fit in a room 10 ft. by 13 ft. along w/ the couch, computer,chair, bookshelves, printer table and about 24 other plants??? maybe the couch will have to go. i thought i had issues, but yall are bananas! You plant some bananas close to the house so you can watch the growth through the windows. BADDDDD idea!!!!!!! One starts to show signs of a Flag. How many times can a banana fiend look at the emerging Flag right outside the window? Can you possibly WISH it to grow right in front of you? Yes, you can. But, it's NOT co-operating. It should have bananas showing by now. How many pictures have you taken? How many friends and relatives have you dragged out to see the new, soon to be bloom? I am soooooo tired..... :waving: |

you are sooooo rite.my mom (who got me my first nana) said if she hears one more thing about, and i quote,' THAT STUPID BANANA TREE IM GONNA COME TO YOUR HOUSE AND RIP IT OUT THE GROUND!" I TOLD HER IN A VERY POLITE MANNER( not) if she so much as touches one leaf on fred shes a dead woman walking. i told her that this is the only hobby i can do - besides gardening outside that i have found that fits my lifestyle. i dont go to bars, dont do drugs, and dont chase men.... id rather spend my time with potting soil,perilite, cactus mix, fred, charlie ,and george. YES THEY ALL HAVE NAMES. so if i happen to be a bunch of bananas than thats ok. at least im in good company. i should be taking horticulture in school instead of criminal justice...however if i dont get a confession out of a perpitrator...i can just tell them how many varieties of bananas there are in the world and i can tell them how to mix the dirt up, how much lite, humidity, and how to organically feed the nannas. i promise in 10 mins he'll be begging for the d.a. to put him in jail, with a full confession. you know i do have to take biology, botany sounds good to me.:goteam:
