Default Laser plant tags that you print yourself

Any experience using them? Plastic in a laser scares me but I know they've been around for at least 10 years. Ages ago I ordered figs from a small place in Arkansas. Though it's been a while I believe that the owner is a retired hort professor from U of A. I do know they printed their own tags because I asked and I got the supplier they use in a return e-mail; they held up very well for me. BTW, they sell nice figs. Not a huge selection but nice or were then. Petals from the Past Home Page

Despite searching my e-mail box, I can't find his message though I purposely saved it. I found Gempler selling 2500 for about $165 with shipping. ACK! I don't need that many! (If anyone knows a source that sells small amounts for less than 10 cents per, I'd love to know about it.) If need be, I'd order but 1st ask for a sample, whether my host's newish little Cannon is, if they knew, able to handle the material and then pray it could.

Thoughts? I'm really sick of popsicle sticks, blind slats and cut up milk cartons for labeling, Yes, I know there are "garden" sharpies and sometimes pencils will do but, as I age, my handwriting gets ever worse; I do know how to type.

I like using my Paper w/ a Sharpe and I cover it w/ clear packing tape.. It works better than writing on Duct tape and sticking it to a pot. :^)

I like using my Sharpe on plastic pot stakes made from old window blinds as well.. A lil finger nail polish remover and you can change the name on them too.. :^)
