Yesterday was a very pleasant day, almost like spring. We had clear skies last night and I thought we might have that dreaded frost again, but didn't happen. Mostly cloudy today but no more rain in the near-term forecasts.

Passiflora maliformis my most tropical passiflora is putting out new growth and flower buds. This is two months ahead of last year. What happened to winter ?

It was pouring here this morning! We got a thundershower and the rainfall rate was 6.29 inches an hour at the worst of it. It reminded me of the rain that came with Hurricane Irene back in August. Definitely some of the heaviest rain we have seen here in a while and its January.
Right now its 60F with a dew point of 58F so its humid! I love this weather in January and my palm trees are liking it too!

Well, it wasn't the worst wind we've had this season. Only got to about 30 mph, 80 degrees, and 14% humidity. No banana casualties. Just a few miles away, near Clare's house, it gusted to 47 mph.
