The puddles from this morning drained but are now back. We've got pretty strong winds and moderately heavy rain. Wind gusts of up to 40-59 mph are expected. My greenhouse should be okay as it withstood 65 mph in October 2009.

I can't complain about today. Low of 53 and high of 78. Forescast calls for low of 60 and high of 80 for the next couple of days. Perfect weather. I just need the east wind to kick up and give me some rain.

Well the humidity here in San Diego is at 80% so there is plenty of moisture present. But in order to have rain either the temperature will have to drop almost 10 degrees or the pressure will have to drop a couple of millibars (hPa), or some of both. At the moment it looks like I'll be irrigating on Monday.

We have gotten about an inch of snow so far with this latest storm, but seeing 40s in the forecast for all of next week, I doubt it will stick very long.

Partly cloudy and showers. A reporting station 25 miles west of me (which should be similar) reported 1.56 inches of rain yesterday.

Going to the Walk for Life West Coast in SF shortly and hope it's not too wet or windy. Winds are calm here but forecasts show up to 17mph for SF.

Got an inch of rain here. Now it's blowing 20-30 knots. Not a good day for beach volleyball!

After 0.15 inches it has stopped. No complaints ... I can load my truck and trailer for the farmers market tomorrow without getting totally soaked. Also, it gives me a reprieve from irrigating everything for a week except my 400 potted citrus -- they have such a dense leaf canopy that even a 1/4 inch of rain won't provide much water to the containers.

Great day here. Hit 82 with no rain -- so I decided to put the shorts back on and work on changes to the inground irrigation.

Did the concrete curbing thing and will post pics when the new plants and mulch are in.
