Weird year! We had a 3.0 earthquake a couple of days ago right here in New Jersey( they're about unknown here). Freezing in Florida and arctic blasts in California. Maybe for my plants sake it will get hot in April and stay warm till November. I'll get one to flower yet!

It was a lovely balmy 25 degrees with a bit of cloud and a light breeze here today, which was fortunate for me, but somewhat unseasonal. I should be getting rained on torrentially about now.

I would not characterize it as torrential, but we got a lot of rain here in Las Vegas today. I was shocked!

50's here in N. Il. too, the wind is really helping knock down the snow pack we have on the ground. Suppose to stay in the 40's-50's for the next five to seven days with rain on and off. can actually see some of the grass in the yard now, outside of Dec 27th and 28th we have been covered with snow and freezing temps. since Thanksgiving. Thinking of moving the Beer back out into the garage! Maybe the groundhog was hungover when he got up and said 6 more weeks of winter,

Bob, you believe a rodent's forecasts?

It's 10am here, not a cloud in the sky, and looks like we're headed for the high 30's centigrade (around 100F) today. I can see all 5 volcanoes, which is highly unusual for this time of year.

Actually yesterday it got to 54 here, my step son and I took a drive into Rockford, he's 9, he amazed at the number of people wearing shorts while there was still snow on the groundm we saw about 20 or so, the thing that got me was the 100 or so people who had there motorcycles out and cruising, by next tuesday they say we'll get to the low 60's but then back down into more seasonable temps for the rest of the month, highs of 30-36. I'm just enjoying that fact that it's warmed up and the SUN has been out. Won't be long now and Spring for real not just a several day teaser.

They're right more often than the meteorologists..............and there's a "season" for them!

Well, I don't watch TV so I've no opinion there. But for my area, I've found the current weather map and 10-day forecast with percentages at weather.com to be very helpful.

Don't tell me about wet!! In the last week we have had 5.3 inches of the stuff and in the mountains they have had more than twice as much. They have evacuated 12,000 people from low lying areas and the flooding on the north coast is extensive with many rivers over their banks. Sheesh!

We had an inch of snow yesterday, and today we've been having snow flurries all day, though nothing is sticking. Temperature at 2:00PM was around 34°F.
