A few miles to the north of me there is an annual peanut festival in Jay Florida. I will eventually look into going peanuts myself.

got some sprouting in the greenhouse in pots right now. I decided that's what I'm going to try to grow this year for fun, every year I grow something I haven't grown before just for laughs. They are coming up good in 2.25 pots and I'm going to transplant them when it warms up just a bit.

I'm planning on growing peanuts. We used to grow a lot of them every year when I was young, and we'd boil them in shell with salt and then freeze them in quart bags. Football season meant going and nabbing bags for each person and tossing them into the microwave. So good!!
My local feed store has a huge barrel of seed peanuts already. |
