I'm mostly working on site preperation for more Bananas!!!

Hi All!!

I planted 6 different kinds of fuschias & a Brazilian Plume Flower.
Also some pink lemonade lantana, 2 Luna 'Disco Red' Hib's and a small Snow Queen Hib.

Those fuschias were time consuming...very delicate plants...((Whew)) ~Cheryl

Pomegranate "White Flower"

Followed by ... homemade pizza with whole wheat flower, garlic sausage, mushrooms, and pimentos!

Just got home for lunch & found a big box full of plants from Cherokee Greg in Fresnoe California!! Got Black Bamboo, Variegated Cannas, Etc (not sure yet) bulbs, & Yay!!, since I didnt get to go to Gilroy park, he sent me a Bobo "perenial rye grass hair growing" monkey!! Thanx Greg, they're totally YES!!

The Bamboo is beautiful... I'm tempted to pant some but I don't want it get out of control. I've got an aswome "tropical" bed planned for next year...
Alocasia portadora, Lots of Bananas, Windmill Palms, Pindo Palms, Phasion Canna- Eveything but the Canna in pots right now so they survive the winter.

Phasion is the same as Tropicana- I think (or so it says at Davesgarden).
The Leaves are unreal and it grows incredibly quickly.
BTW another plant I just got this year (from Plant Delights) that has a great "Tropical Look"
Zantedeschia aethiopica 'White Giant' (White Giant Calla Lily)
It's leaves are very big and thick- almost like an Alocasia- I've had it in the ground a short time and I've already got one leaf approaching 1ft long. I can't wait till it Flowers (supposed to be 4'-5' tall)!
