i broke up and repotted 4 snake plants to bring into the house. repotted some yellow ginger, and 4 aguaves were potted up.

Just replanted a bed of Natal Queen and Sugarloaf pineapples 1st pic. And added Natal Queen, Sarawak, Dacca pineapples to the Pernambuco bed, 2nd pic.

:woohoonaner:Repotted a EE we got from Jarred, thought it was rotten :2710:so throw in worm bed late last fall, in unheated garage.
Found it with 3 stems and only one leaf.:goteam:

potted up some:

canna seeds
red texas star hybiscus seeds
white texas star hybiscus seeds
black hollyhock seeds
orchid canna seeds( these i harvested from my canna seeds i grew from tophersmith)
and i used the fert mix i recieved from miller mackenzie
so when they grow ill post pics for all the members who donated these things to me. all of these came from members here. thanks guys!

Well here in oregon the weather is not so hot so .
I built a Fire and then Planted my Bottom In my computor chair .

I was hoping ya all knew i was In a fun mood .
On a serious one though this weather change is For the Ice animals.
We here in Florence oregon are not used to snow and Ice.
for the past 8 yrs i have been doing well with my citrus and Nana's.
this Yr i think i lost 45 citrus tree's and maybe all but 4 of my banana's
I brought in the pups but the other banana's (mother plants ) got belted by a freak ice storm NO one warned us about .
I am crossing fingers and hopping to win the lottery so i can move to a warmer climate and grow grow grow.

You are very brave to have tried Citrus in Florence. I've been there many times over the years, enroute to Depot Bay and Lincoln City. In decades gone by the Kernville Steakhouse was excellent esp. for local fish. I took a look just now on Google street view and the area has changed quite a bit!

Richard , I love the Kernsville steak house YUMMY . well used to be .
There is a spot in Pacific City 24 miles North of LC and 7 miles south os Cloverdale . Its a loop anyway they cook that days Catch and talk about awesome they also Make there own Rootbeer,beer and all I think even wine.
Pellicans Brew pub abd resteraunt. OMGosh food is to die for . OOPS ok its good if i lived back in pc and was sitten in my cair id Grow roots at the Resteraunt. Westwood

as long as i dont have to feed the "suprise" actual food or clean out a littler box....i like suprises.....lol. and yes i finally got them all planted with the exception of 2 carob seeds that came over from....well lets just say that about 4 agractiual laws were broken to get me these 2 seeds. LOL!

I had a few Sent to me *carob* that is they grow great here . UM Mrskitty Cats love the plant better then the Catnip. so watch the kittys .
we have a huge litter of Pixie bobs right now and phone is ringing off the hook im so picky i think ive sold 1 but she has not filled out My contract so .
I have a couple of places that the innitials need to be Like
Kitten/cat is Not under any circumstances to be Declawed. Int and guess what no innitials so ill let hr know she either missed a spot of Just did not read what she signed Closly and ill send again for a second chance . IM finicky . Tammy

late last night i planted:
corn, peas, 3 types of bush beans, tomatoes,nana peppers,pole beans,cukes, cilantro( corriander), oregano,basil,chives.

today i will get started on:
red peppers,squash, zucc,lettus,indian corn

still need to get:
garlic,gr.peppers, jalapinos, ginger root,onions, potatoes,spinach, rosemary,thyme,lavander,sunflowers,sage, and maybe carrots.

Samoan and Malayan dwarf coconuts (I don't know why.......cabin fever I think). E.perrieri and M. Mannii seeds started soaking.

im finding it funny on how long it has taken seeds to germinate. some that i have growing for my edible landscape said 15-45 days to germination....i planted most of these on the 23 of january and already they are 8-12 inches tall. then again i used organic seed starter dirt. lol. richard is this normal? ive never had an explosion of seeds this early after planting. im not gonna have mutant squash chasing the cats down the hall am i?

ms kittie i hear u i started a buch of seeds last week there all up now what do i do with them im gonna have tomatoes and othe garden vegies ready to eat by may i usually just buy started plants in april but i bought some seeds this year and some it said it would take weeks to a month to germinate i just got a tree tomate plant from a friend a couple weeks ago its now three feet tall and i have it in a pot it my front window and the nieghbors are now driving by real slow and stopping it kind of looks like a pot plant next the cops r gonna be here checking it out lol

Here are 10 cuttings of Ebbing's Elaeagnus I placed in rooting pots today. Also on the job is Deputy Horticulture Inspector "Littlefoot". In the background you see some Arugula blooming merrily away in some pots with lettuce and herbs.

I planted a bunch of Caster Bean seeds. Some regular & some purple leafed from Randy. In 4 days they were germinating! I forgot how big the seedlings were so I'm sure within 2 weeks they will have to go into bigger container. My yard will look REAL tropical this summer after this loooong cold winter. Thanks Randy!!! :)

Nope .. I don't think so LOL. Aint much that could live thru the crap we had.
Some annuals can reseed but only certain flowers which is good.

I planted a small bottle palm tree I bought at Lowes for $12.47 from regular $24.95! I think this is just a cool lookin' palm tree! And a Carrie Mango tree in the back yard. It's almost 4 ft tall. I'm a little nervous becuz this is the first time I'm growing a mango tree, cuz I just love eating this fruit, along with my wife & kids! It's also very expensive here at the local HEB grocery store. If possible can any mango expert here give some tips of caring for this tree. I would appreciate it greatly! Now, my friut trees in the back yard is set- I have 2 banana plants, 4 citrus trees, the new Carrie mango tree! I would love to plant more, but I have a small back yard!

:bananaflipflop: Today I planted three miracle fruit seeds. I have a few small ones under my main plant that are volunteers. Now where to put them.

I also found a medium sized avacado, with really good flavor, like the Mexican varieties, and purple like the mexican varieties, with the size of a west Indian race. It was really delicious!! It was from the Dominican Republic, and I planted the seed!!

Two cherry tomato plants, three regular tomato and four basil. :0519:
I had basil last year and it went crazy. Little did I realize until about a month ago how much I liked Pesto! Now I plan to make enough to give to my friends.
This is about my third year in this bed and the soil seems real crumbly and rich. I hope that is a good sign.

It's a long-shot for me to even try but I just planted a pineapple top...not quite sure what variety but the fruit was frigin huge! It was larger than a 2 liter bottle tall and wide. we usually dont get them that big in this area of the country. But hey, cant lose anything in trying. wish me luck!

We brought a pineapple back from Hawaii what seems like a decade ago. It's offshots lasted until about last year. It kept making little green leaves but no fruit. But it was fun to just have around to remind us of our trip.
