No, this one is of second edulis batch. Anyway, still no flowers on first Fredericks even some vines are more than 10ft. Great growth, shine color, no flowers?

Do you find that a heat mat is needed for germination?

No it does not have to be a heat mat just heat.A light bulb will work.In summer just outside temps.work just fine.

Just plain rockwool for germination and then pot into 50/50 coco coir and perlite or peat and perlite. Yes I have 100's of crosses/hybrid fruit

Cool. Do the leaves resemble alata or edulis, or somewhere in between?

More alat but with some serration on the leaves. This may be the only hybrid of these two in the U.S.

Mine gave up on that about a month ago, maybe a bit longer. Must be nice and toasty in your yard. Mine are still growing leaves, and it's a good thing because the fritillary caterpillars are going nuts on them. Strangely, so far they're only eating the Moorea P. edulis and not the Frederick.

[IMG][/IMG]Hi, today I pruned my P. x decaisneana and P. alata as they got infested with red spider mites. Had to take them out and spray them, but since they got enormous I cut them down to about 1.5m. :vbseo_replace_urls("((((( Along went the only fruit on P. x decaisneana. Now, I wonder how yellow/orange does it have to be for the seeds to be ripe and able to germinate? Below is the pic of the fruit. To me it seams still green, so can it ripe when cut down from the plant?
