Can you help me identify this tree?
I was parked at the back of a home depo parking lot and I couldn’t help notice this tree. It has tons of yellow seed pods (and a few dried ones). I got some seeds and “new growth” cuttings to play around with. Any Ideas of what it could be?

Ill just knock 2 birds out with one stone. There is a big bush at school that is flowering with the best smell, if the wind is in the right direction you can smell it a good 50ft away. I would like to get some cuttings but I want to know the best time of year first. It stays green all year round if it helps.

That top one is a lacebark elm. The shrub is an Osmanthus. I actually have one just like it and I think it is Osmanthus fortunei (not fragrans).
 My Osmanthus usually has a lot more leaves on it, but I had just dug it up and moved it not long before this photo and it lost some leaves. =====second edit=============== I just clicked on the link and saw that it was, indeed Osmanthus fortunei that they showed in the picture. Usually when you see any reference to any Osmanthus it is either O. fragrans or the variegated, holly-like one and I've only heard the name "Tea Olive" used with O. fragrans.
