Majesty: bluish-green petioles, lacking any fiber

Kentia: brown fiber on base of green/brown petioles

Whenever I spot a very tall specimen in a yard, I can't stop turning my head back to look back at it. I think its a hideous palm compared to others (King Palms for example), but its such a rare palm to see outdoors and grabs my attention so much. :S Its like I only see one or two every so often in a field of a million boring queen palms.

This plant was in a 5gal container buried in the ground for ten years. When I replanted it I put it in 15gal in the ground because of the underground utilities.

Kentia is a really beautiful palm, and one of my favorite palms. Unfortunately it can't grow in my area because it's too hot during the summer here. It would be hardy in my area though.
