Happy B-day Harvey - Page 2

Okay, my birthday has just about come to a close and I thought I'd share some personal thoughts.

Like many others, I miss our friend Tog Tan. Tog died suddenly a week before his 53rd birthday and that's been on my mind a lot as I get exhausted walking through my alfalfa fields while irrigating, etc. Not that I am at a significant risk of dropping dead (I do get regular check-ups, etc.) but I admired Tog for his enthusiasm and energy and often wish I had the same energy. Alas, I've made my 53rd birthday and am finally older than Tog. With the genes from my dad's side of the family I might be around for quite a while (dad is second oldest of 10 siblings and almost 86 and the rest are still alive and kicking).

I don't care for cigars but wish I had one right now to at least chew one a bit!

Thanks! Today I'm 55 and officially a "senior citizen" according to some. Maybe I'll whoop it up and go to McDonald's this morning and have 2 apple pies and a cup of coffee with all the other old farts there.
