Better banana plants for hydroponics, aquaponics?
Are there better plants to use? Plants to stay away from? I have a small setup that I use to filter my fish pond and grew some nice onions in it this year. I think I would like to try one of my Orinoco pups right in the center and see what happens. Any thoughts? Advice?
I know the plant would go through a shock period going from soil to soilless. Assuming this all works out, at the end of the season when it's time to bring the plants in for the winter, do I put it back in soil for the winter? Or store bareroot? Do people even try to grow there plants in an outdoor setup? :woohoonaner: |

Well I never tried it in the outdoor setup. Instead I expanded the system inside my greenhouse and added a Dwarf Orinoco to 1 of the beds. The plant went through a bunch of shock. I thought I was loosing it. The plant recovered and grew nicely. If the plant makes it through winter,I think it will easily, it should flower next year. I can't wait to see what happens.
