Today in Krk (island near Rijeka) was almost 30C.
I have planted Ensete Ventricosun in ground, and she has almost opened a new leaf
I have also dug soil around my potatoes, we think that we can have almost half a ton (500 kg) :D

Wow all of you seem to have over 30C! But still I'm happy with my 20C...far better than -20C :D

Edi are you from Krk? Because we're basically all over the place when visiting my relatives. And 500 kg potatoes? What kind of garden is that? :D

We have unusual high temperature as for April/May but it is going yo change soon and I afraid of Ice Saints

Yes, I am from Krk!
My mom is originaly from Krk, but during the week I go to school in Rijeka.
Where do you go in Krk, perhaps in some places by the sea like Malinska?
I have over 500 plants of potatoes, we call that 'struk' (stroock=)
*Krk is pronounced like 'Khark'.
Yes, it's hard to pronounce for you Americans :ha:
I think rain will not fall here until summer, vegetables got only 1 rain, now they are on their own :bananas_b

Allright! Mostly it's in Njivice and Omisalj but I've been in most places on Krk I think. Vrbnik must be one of my favorites. Funny to find someone here from Krk :). Are you going to the uni too?

Clear blue sky and 20C tomorrow aswell but then it will change :(

Probably the vrbnicka zlahtina right? I should try that ice cream next time though, sounds delicious! :ha: I'm trying to learn croatian but it's not one of the easiest. I was just wondering if you went to the university in Rijeka.

My basjoo is still sitting around inside but this summer I'll plant it outside and overwinter it in ground. The sikkimensis didn't make it at all this winter. :(

I don't know what do you mean?
If you see how much people year after year visit again Krk, you would be shocked.
I mean there is no discuss about tourism in Croatia, it's above great.

Yes. Even snowed here above 1000m. Wind gust up to 173km/h, lot of damadge arround, no need to mention how it reflected on my work

More rain after a half inch last night. I think we got 4 inches last week, so the plants are happy happy. :^)
The messed up part is I thought all my weeds were about to die before that it was so dry.. So much for hopeful thinking.. lol
