I planted two Silk Fig bananas last month and one is starting to leaf out nicely the other one sends out small white weak leave that are destroyed by the sun and wind all most at once I am at a loss as to what to do they are planted in the same are and getting the same care. It is often very windy here so have not managed to figure out a shade for it in case it is sunburn. It is a very tall Keiki but I thought that would give it a better start compared to all the small ones I have planted before.
It is planted at about 1200 feet elevation with good soil and plenty of water. All of the other Bananas around it are thriving. Nancy
