oops sorry. believe i am be blocked. i was trying to post some thumbnails.

my computer and my cell phone have the same results when trying to get pics on here. i am reduced to thumbnails. i have tried to get a banana id. but now i cannot get thumbnails even on this site. i have asked for help. i will next ask our resident spammer to help me to gets pics. if that what it takes

Sounds like you discovered it at an advanced stage of rotting.

The outer wall is the cortex and usually takes much longer to rot than the central cylinder which when healthy is white with that hairy texture. Those hairs or fibers are very useful in determining the health of a rhizome, when scrapped down to a fresh white surface those fibers will quickly discolor if the tissue is not healthy.

Some people think a firm rhizome is proof of being healthy but a dead or dying rhizome is also firm until it rots. Those fibers are the best early indicator that I know of.

no i am getting a 403 forbidden error. i cannot bring in new pics and i can copy but cant. paste.

the manini i only had a couple of weeks. never grew, it was looking pathetic when it was knocked over.

but i never forgot the aquarium rock. since then i had time to mull things over and i figure i did 3 things wrong. the rock looked to wet when i pulled her out and inspected it.

no its the new one in the [altered] aquarium gravel. it got squashed by something. mashed the 2 top leaves.

in my profile, i have listed all the bananas i have bought in the last 6 years. i didnt put that one in.

my cell phone gives me the same thing; 403 forbbin

was in a hurry to go to a nephews birthday party.

no, i had 3 when something ate the corms from under them. mole? never have had any other bananas get that. was fixing to separate them too. shame they grew good for my soil.

the pasang awaks are doimg great. have 2 including a pup. they both are the daughters to the one in the picture. i will be separating them this coming spring.
