First 2016 tall Namwah bunch. The fruits were wrapped in solar bags this past winter and developed just fine, even though the plant did not have any leaves left after some really cold December nights (down to 28F).

Congrats crazy banana, what you're able to do without leaves has always been amazing. This was closest we came to a harvestable tall Namwah bunch without leaves.

Second Tall Namwah bunch in less than a week apart from the first one.
Due to our cold December mornings there were no leaves to support the bunch, but the bunch was wrapped in a solar bag in late fall. It weighed in 12 pounds heavier than the first bunch harvested last week.

Harvested a huge Dwarf Brazilian bunch yesterday and it was so good I harvested another bunch for today.

My first Nang Phaya bunch, surprisingly light at 30 lbs with 9 hands.


Also 9 hands but over 40lbs is another (not)Goldfinger from Hilo's Novelty Greens tissue culture. Whatever it is, it's one of my favorites. Easy to grow, fast to fruit, short, large bunches, delicious fruit.

Need a bit of help here..planted tissue cultured cavendish banana 's and coming into the first harvest... Fruits seem to spaced out and long stem

Varieties I supposedly bought: Manzano, Cavendish, Blue Java, Sweetheart, and Gros Michel.
What it seems I actually have: Brazilian, Cavendish, Namwah, Dwarf Red, Gros Michel, Pisang Ceylon, Veinte Cohol and SH 3640, and American Goldfinger. FHIA 1, Paggi and FHIA 17... Always room for one more.
