Default Tips for winterizing Basjoo.

This will be my first winter with these lovely trees, so I'm hoping for the best. I do however have a question regarding a baby tree I have planted out there. What can i do to help it survive the winter besides digging it up. I simply don't have anywhere to store it inside. Do i cut it to the ground like the bigger trees?

Tips would be great! Thanks in advance.
