Mine looks like that one too, but it's in a bigger pot. I'll take some new pics shortly.
Anyway, very nice plant, good job keeping it up to speed.

Nice pix!

Joe: What size pot is it in?

Brian: Infreakincredible!

A new leaf just opened up on mine and has a strange gold tint to it. The 2 before it were almost pure white. They are starting to burn in the sun. The green and yellow striped leaves that opened before them still look pretty good. It's just now starting to grow fast and put out a new leaf every 5-6 days.
It's in full sun from about 7am until 5pm & the roots are staying between 80*-90*f.

I'm waiting to see what happens with this new "gold" leaf.

I'm finally back home in Seattle, WA. I drove from Walnut Creek, CA at 6:00PM Sat. and arrived at 8:00AM Sun. First thing I did was check my recent shipment from Brian (anxiously!). Here's what she looked like:

Here it is with the "older" sibling - Siam Ruby "Green":

The SR Green is actually more yellow-green, but Fuji digital cameras and films have a propensity for green.

D'Andra, I believe the pot has a 10 or 10.5" diameter. I didn't want to put it in anything bigger until its roots are really established. I'd hate to drown it!

Hi Everyone!

It's baseball season and I have a 10 year old boy who plays select ball, so I have not had much time to post pics. Nanaman has a great looking plant and that also keeps me from posting mine. Here it is though from MO. Hope it does well and good luck to all who have this beauty. ( I may need to buy a pup from someone if I fail to keep it alive!)

Ahhhh. Well I am sure the seller will make it right, there are just too many banana enthusiasts involved in this transaction, and from what I gather, he is a nice guy.

Well, I'm 0 for 2. One was probably frozen in transit, and the second never did a thing after arriving. Stayed green for a couple months, but never pushed a new leaf, and finally faded away.

Jarred,

I think you need to BAN nanaman from posting any more pics of the Siam.

I'm still sitting here looking at my pathetic replacement for the first green I got. It is still less than a foot tall. I truly think there will be various color combinations and he got a real good one. Unless my replacement reddens up a LOT as it gets bigger, I think mine will be Siam Ruby var. "Blush"

Although my siam is growing well and has great color I would have to agree with Terry on banning Nanaman from posting pics of his. Mine is but half the size of his.

Nanaman it is great to see what mine may look like in the future.

Terry, Post a picture of it, please... I think this plant is just awesome to look at no mater what stage it is at. When I first got mine, it didn't appear to have any red, then a little, then a little more etc... If it truly is a variant, that would make it even cooler!!! I thought about trying to get my hands on the Siam Green ( cool lime green color), but I just don't have any more room. BTW, Jarred's is probably bigger than mine, the last pics he posted looked great! I refuse to give this thing any special treatment, same as any other potted naner I have ( full sun, water, soil mix, fert, etc..). That means anyones Siam should look great, given a little time and TLC!
