Outstanding pics, Brian!
Mine is at the stage of your 2nd pic going into the 3rd - it's outside full time now, but has semi-shade for the midday. How many hours a day of full sun are yours getting? Absolutely stunning, & exciting to see! My daughter made some rather 'unkind' remarks @ my potting setup - I've got it surrounded by those long, wooden, shish-kabob sticks (pointy tip down) to keep the critters from having a laydown on it or use it for a bathroom till it has a corm to grow back from. Now I KNOW that sounds like pathetic gibberish, but I've had cats & dogs completely wipe out plants before .... ain't gonna happen this time! Shish-kabob pungi sticks work - they try to step or lay on it once & never again, but don't get hurt more than a prick. . |

Thanx for the pics Brian and the time progression. Mine is also probably at your second week photo. Great to see what I have to look forward to. Mine is in a pot far from where my dog can get to it. Hope to keep it around to show some pics of one growing in MO. I've had it outside for a week now but we've had a lot of rain and clouds so hopefully some sun this week will bring out a little more red. Good luck to all!

Hey I was wondering Brian if someone could post a list as to when the rest of us poor souls will receive our plant. It has been several weeks since I sent my payment and just want to know where in the order of things I am? Thanks for your generous offer again. Rob

After 4 weeks, mine is still a brilliant lime green, with no trace of red at all. It does, however, have 2 pups.

Mine is doing well but the nights are still a bit cool for it to really take off.
I'm going to post the last set of pics over at UKOasis as the guys will be interested , I'll link the thread to. Hope that's ok. Great to have the chance to grow this wonderful plant. Later Steve

Just curious.
I have had my plant since the first batch was sent out. It is growing great, probably has put out over 6 leaves and doubled in height. I live in S FL and for the past 2 weeks it has been in the full sun. My question is that it is still totally lime green without a trace of red????? Anyone else have one that hasn't gotten any red? I figured after a week in the sun, it should show some red. Thanks - Terry |

Yeah - that's what I thought - just curious.
Here is a pic I just took. This is how much sun it gets each day from about 10:30 on. Terry ![]() |

If it does, you should see the green leaves turn red. Let's see what happens... maybe you got a dud. Word is that it's a finicky tissue culture.

It grows great, NOT like the damn Dwarf Nam Wa Pearl we all tried and lost.
I wrote because I wondered if it was a T/C like an Ae-Ae and that the color wasn't true in all plantlets. BRIAN - you got any feedback on this being an issue? Terry |

Mine is growing slowly - its only put out one leaf since I got it. It seems to colour better in the sun. The new leaf spear, for instance, only turned reddish on the side that was facing the sun, so the new leaf only has faint red on one half of the underside. It is in full sun whenever possible, but has to spend nights and some days indoors due to temperature and rain.
It seems to be just hanging in there, so hopefully when it fully establishes itself and starts growing at a normal speed it will deepen in colour. I noticed in Brian's pics that the leaves which were green when he got his plant rapidly turned to a deep red after exposure to the sun. Does this normally happen? I was expecting new leaves to emerge with red, but for already green leaves to stay green. Brian, are you fertilizing yet? If so with what, and what is your soil setup? Its kind of like the opposite of Zebrina which emerges with brilliant colour and markings, which fade over time. Any thoughts? Thanks, ~Joe |
