This is drawing I did comparing Musa and Ensete, it is meant for beginners and should work out ok, it is by no means technical or completely accurate and you may find some aberrations in real plants, but generally it should help those who are still confused. It is also just a generalization, some species and varieties will vary and you may find yourselves confused yet again.
