Thanks to Hurricane Alex, the weather here has been perfect for bananas. Mid to high 80's, overcast ,humid and a fair amount of rain. All of my bananas have exploded with growth.

Last evening (07/14) I took a photo of the bud which seemed to have stalled for the last few days. Due to the lack of growth and the poor light in the photo I didn't post an update.

This morning I checked on it and WOW! Also check out the big Walking stick behind the bottom of the bud.

I took the last photo around 1030 and made the post at 1046.

Here is another photo from 1350 today. Use the bamboo brace to compare movement of the bud.
