I used to leave any roots I could save on my corms until you showed us that you clean them to propagate. Do you use any fungicide at all?

Nice save—cleaning it up and potting for propagation is way better than tossing it.

That's a great save! I know the feeling of wanting to just give up on a plant that looks a little rough around the edges. Sometimes, though, a little care and attention can really bring them back to life. It's almost like you have to kick the buddy in the plant world and give it a little nudge to get it thriving again! Good luck with the propagation – I bet it'll be beautiful.

Looking good mate, mine are all still sleeping and trying to survive the winter, I've notice a couple of casualties already sadly.

I just got lucky and found a nicely variegated namwa in the horse's area. I toss all the unwanted rhizomes in there because they love eating the leaves and eventually all the plants will die so it's a win win. It's fairly common for an all green offshoot from a variegated mother plant to produce a variegated offshoot. I wouldn't waste time propagating these all green plants but collecting the feral variegated ones is worth it.
