Call for Articles - Bananas Quarterly Vol 2
Hello, all you wonderful banana growers! As managing editor of Bananas Quarterly, I'm calling on you for any articles you might wish to submit for publication in the magazine.
I'm looking for articles on all topics related to bananas and their ilk. I don't care if you're not a scientist, or if you're only growing ornamentals, or even if it's your first time growing a banana plant of any kind. I'd like to know about your experiences! I'm particularly interested in those of you who are zone-pushing, and also in overwintering techniques. Equally, anybody interested in writing banana Cultivar or Species profiles (see previous editions of the magazine for details) is more than welcome to pitch in! I have no requirements for article length or topic. Deadlines are as follows: Feb 28, 2010 for articles to be published in Vol 2 No 1 May 31, 2010 for articles to be published in Vol 2 No 2 July 31, 2010 for articles to be published in Vol 2 No 3 Sept 30, 2010 for articles to be published in Vol 2 No 4. We're going to print this year - this is your chance to be a published author! As a bonus, authors receive the print edition(s) in which their articles appear, free of charge. Please feel free to use this thread as a forum for article ideas, and please PM me if you've got any questions or if you'd like to submit an article to me. Thanks! Together we can make the magazine bigger and better than ever! Beth ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Randy, Nos. 3 and 4 from Volume 1 were combined into a single issue due to time constraints and lack of articles. The issue is due for release later this week - we're just putting the final touches on it now.

A basic article has been published, but nothing in-depth. I'd love to see an article from you on TC practices, Novi. And don't worry about your English - it's why we have an editorial team!

If i have the time, I can write an article about my first year experience in over-wintering (so far VERY successfully, cross your fingers) in zone 5b/6a.

PLEASE! I forgot to mention above that I NEED at least one if not several overwintering articles. It was something that was sorely missing in Volume 1, and I'd like to rectify it in Vol. 2.
