looking like tall orinoco...are the stems between leaf and main trunk open,touching,slightly open..any color on edge of leaf stems

It looks like the leaf stems are mostly closed and I think the only color is some dead material. I would guess this is due to the cold weather as it is late in the season.

I'm probably going to lose the last two bunches that bloomed in Oct -We'e already had two frosts here. your leaves still look green. How high is the pstem?

Jose263 - The p-stem on my largest plant is 9ft tall.
Last year I chopped every single stem down to about 6 inches above the ground and, coincidence or not, this is the first year of the 3 years I've been at my house that I've actually seen the banana plants produce. I'm not too familiar with the annual maintenance required or how I can best help my plants to produce. |
