Default Is this a Blue Java? I bought it off etsy.

Claude is telling me this doesn't have the typical characteristics of a Blue Java, which is what I bought from what I thought was a reputable Etsy person. Any help is appreciated!!!!

Did Claude tell you which typical characteristics of a Blue Java your plant didn't have?

Most of the Blue Java TC plantlets in the US market are the Blue Java Ice Cream Namwa subgroup Pisang Awak while the true Blue Java is in the subgroup Ney Mannan.

If you bought it as a TC you probably have the Tall Namwa, if you bought it as a vegetative offshoot from someone that grew it from a TC you probably have the Tall Namwa. The main advantage of having the real Blue Java is it's highly female fertile which means it will easily produce viable seeds when pollinated.
