Any advice where to get the best price on pups and care for them is appriciated I am in zone 7. I also have clay/hardpan... soil.. The varities I have planted so far look very happy its been about a week and a half.. .. how often to water in 100 + temps in clay soils ???

Welcome! When my greenhouse gets that hot or near it, I water once to twice a day. As for getting bananas good and cheap, from my limited experience, the two best routes are nurseries like Florida Hill or Wellspring Gardens, or people online here with some pups available.
Great luck to you on your nanners. With your zone I'm guessing you either overwinter yours well or grow them in a greenhouse, yes? If you're looking for more good ideas on new varieties to get, the best thing to boil down is the climate you are growing your bananas in. Do they need to be short, need to tolerate cool or hot summers, need to tolerate cold/frost, need quick ripening, etc. |

I bought a mekong giant and an icecream from wellspring gardens they are very healthy.
I also bought a grow michel from chancce1945 from here on the forum it is healthy too. I paid good money for a praying hands it took a month to get it, that was botanical growers big healthy and just put on its first leaf. I bought a truely tiny from 9greenbox off amazon it was only 1 1/2 " tall it had 4 of 5 leaves black I complained and they gave it to me for free but it is growing good now and also got a sdc from them that is healthy and growing. Hope this helps. Happy growing welcome to bananas! ![]() Ruth
