I just moved to S. Florida from the DelMarVa area and I'm interested in planting some fruit. Any suggestions for a novice as to best tasting banana - not too big of a plant, as I have limited space and also want to plant some citrus trees.
Thanks for any comments. |

Raja puri is a good choice as long as the soil doesn't have Panama disease. I had a friend in south Florida just loose his mat that was producing with little or no care for years, still worth a shot though. Dwarf Nam Wah is another good choice... good luck.

Welcome Plantgirlcls315 to Bananas dot org from South Florida. I suggest you make your own decision on taste by visiting Going Bananas in Homestead. Don usually have several bunches hanging with some for sampling! He has a large selection.
Good growing and in this case Good tasting to you, and Welcome! ![]() |
