Default Re: California Gold Overwintering Question.

With it so young and with an imature root system, I would greenhouse it. Forcing dormancy with such an imature corm, if any, could kill it, and exposing it to the chill of winter before it's had a chance to get established is also hazardous.

Be well,
Mike

I just recieved a California Gold pup from Gabriel about a month ago. I was wondering what was the best method for storing this type of semi-hardy (and expensive in my case) Banana?

Here it is. It has a lot more leaves now, and it also has a better root system. For this size, wouls Dormancy in the Basement, Greenhousing it, or Heavy Mulch be the best idea???

THANKS FOR ANY AND ALL INFORMATION!!!!!
