Hiya New member ..

Gidday from the banana growing capital of Australia . I have grown many different types before I shifted to the wet tropics , but having to source disease free stock has slowed down my aquiring types I want to grow .
I have 3 acres in Tully , we have very good rainfall approx 4m a year . So a very high % of the area is covered in bananas . A monoculture of either Goldfinger or dwarf cavandish . A local supplier is now doing mail order of some xclnt types .. see Blue Sky Backyard Bananas | Banana Plants for backyards | Australian Bananas I collect Aroids , Bromeliads , Gingers & Heliconias , Palms & Cycads , flowering and exotic tropical fruit trees .
