I believe opinion is divided. It could be anything from 2 days to up to 2 weeks (favoured, and with great success, by mr bungalow) depending on how dry they are. Use boiled water (allowed to cool to room temperature), as for the temperature, I've always put the soaking seeds in my heated propagator and then they are kept at their germinating temperature.
