Lord, it was at 102 or so today in north Phoenix, hotter downtown. My bananas on the balcony, even the cute TC ones were smiling and showing no signs of distress. I always thought of 100+ degree weather could mean death for plants, animals, humans etc...but I've been learning so much in the last year I've been in the desert.
Oh and I planted summer vincas and gazanias in containers and they love the heat. I never really liked vincas but now am getting into them as they laugh at Phoenix heat.
