We are just ending a near record hot spell with highs in the mid 80s and lows in the sixties.
The winds, gusting to 50 mph, dried everything out resulting in fire bans and uncontrollable brushfires. My Chamaerops humulis, which I put in full sun against the stucco on our house and protected from the wind, was enduring daytime temperatures that reached 110*F.
It's funny how what is normal for you is way too warm for me for this time of year.
