Default Re: Uncovering winterized bananas

You guys in warmer grow zones are a few months ahead of me

My basjoo are still 6 inches below grade awaiting their turn for spring growth.

Mekongs and basjoo were fertilized and spring mulched with 46-0-0 and woodchips a few weeks ago before the wet season.

A lot is happening underground with the formation of runners and pups and once the soil temperature stabilizes they will become active.

Ferns and spring ephemerals are just breaking the surface.

Container plants are on skids under lights in the basement waiting for the average temperature to rise a bit before moving outdoors.
