Default Patupi banana

Does anyone out there grow "Patupi" from PNG.This is a short cycle plant.Depending on growing conditions you could have a flower after 8 months in the ground. Bud to harvest is 7 weeks. Delicious desert banana.I'm just curious to hear what others have experienced with this plant. I am in Hawaii where annual rainfall exceeds 200 inches. Soil here is basically crushed lava rock so drainage is almost too fast.We have no shortage of sun. I used to feed all of my bananas organic Chicken pellets and K-Mag (0-0-22)monthly. But due to excessive rainfall and fast drainage it seemed I was washing a lot of fert down the drain so to speak. So now I split that dosage in half and feed them all every two weeks. About once every 3 months I hit them all with AG-10 dolomite lime to compensate for such acidic soil.Heavy mulching with horse manure mixed with mulch. Environment is everything.
