Yeah, I think you are right about not needing pollination to produce fruit. I was more thinking that these bananas wouldn't develop any more than they already have (they are tiny, maybe 1-1.5 inches long) because there wouldn't be any seeds for the plant to grow and basjoos aren't genetically programmed to produce much pulp.

I do think, because the female and male flowers emerge at different times and I have no other source for pollination, they won't have been pollinated, and therefore will not produce any seed...maybe I am wrong....I hope so, I would love to get some seed.

I will definitely keep caring for the plant as usual. I am way too interested in learning about the process to stop now
