The pstem may have died, but the corm normally doesn't. The pups are growing from the corm. .... Always keep as much of the dead pstem as you can. The pstem has a lot of liquid food/nutrients or fertilizer that will drain back into the corm. .... So new pups are good for a while but will need fertilizer when they start getting bigger.
