Default My bananas health

Hi, I brought a banana plant the other day and now the bottom two leaves have gone crispy and brown. When I got it, it was I a pot outside the shop in 8°C and the soil was bone dry. I have watered it once since I have got it and the water is damp but not wet. When I got it some of the leaves edges were brown also. I have now brought a specific fertiliser for it which I am going to use in the next watering but I was just wondering if there is anything I can do to help it for now?
