I'm enjoying a giant perfectly ripe 14 oz. Tigua while posting.

On September 20, 2017 Hurricane Maria took the jungle canopy and smashed it to the jungle floor. That gave sunlight and an opportunity to grow for many plants. My jungle was littered with bananas growing wild for as far as I can throw and given the elevation that I'm throwing from they go far.
Looking down at the jungle the other day I noticed a large banana plant with a heavy lean and this morning it was missing from view. So I took a hike down the mountain and came back with a huge 80 lb. bunch of Iholena and also grabbed a small bunch of Manini on way.
Both of these bananas are great for hardwood grilling and get a nice smoked flavor.
